The traveller

A try at fine art photography. Sometimes it takes a while till I get the image I fisrt saw in my mind before shooting. Had to take away all ugly elements from the pic till I got what I wanted. The pic was taken in Geneva in the afternoon, after working at the WMO. I felt inspired by the lines

Taken with my Nikon D3300 and a Nikon Lense 18 mm-140mm

theatre grutli-1070544.jpg

"A deux heures du matin" de Falk Richter, pièce de théâtre magnifiquement jouée par de jeunes acteurs talentueux sortant des Teintureries, École de Théâtre de Lausanne. Amazing theater play in Geneva Grutli Theater with young and promising talents.

It was tricky to take pics, since it is forbidden, but was worth the try. This scene was played while some actors were behind the scene producing these great shadows I couln't resist

High speed framing

The challenge was here to frame a picture on a train at 200 km/hour. In only one shot there are two overlapping images. The view on one side, geometric and rigid, and the reflection of the other side, a much softer Swiss landscape. Taken on a train from Bern to Geneva. Unfortunatelly, I have no idea what this intriguing building is.

Taken with Canon D5MarkIII, Canon Lense 24-105 mm @ 35mm. speed: 1/500 sec. ISO: 1250, f/ 7.1

Concours UPU-1070505.jpg

Taking the floor,UPU, Bern, Switzerland

Today at the Universal Postal Union. This picture is a discarded one of a series of 5 for a UPU photo contest- Just knew today about it while interpreting for them, so spent all the breaks jumping up and down with my lumix first and then the Canon camera to get all done by today, since it was the last day you could send the pics. This one was taken from inside the interpreters' booth. A Delegate's speech.
